CASA of Lea County

Court Appointed Special Advocates

  • CASA volunteers are ordinary people trained to do extraordinary work for abused
    and neglected children.
  • CASA volunteers serve as independent advocates for these children and are appointed by
    District Judges in the 5th Judicial District in Lea County.
  • A CASA volunteer can help reduce the length of time children spend in foster care as well as
    help lower the number of foster home changes.
  • A CASA volunteer can make sure a child receives the services and care he or she deserves.
